The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore will be the technical partner of the mission organized by Farmindustria in collaboration with the Antenna of Confindustria in Singapore, which will be held on Thursday, 30th November 2023.
The mission, led by ICCS Board Member and Vice President of Farmindustria Pierluigi Petrone, will be an opportunity to explore the potential collaboration between Italy and Singapore in the pharma and healthcare sectors.
Italy is one of the most important pharma manufacturing hubs in the world and is able to attract international investors. Currently, 60% of the pharma manufacturing in Italy is produced by foreign companies, the total production value in 2022 was Euro 49 bln, and Euro 47 bln was exported overseas (97% of the total value production).
Thanks to its deep base of skilled talent, manufacturing capabilities and thriving research ecosystem, Singapore is the choice location for companies to develop and produce new products that better meet Asia's healthcare needs. Currently, 8 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies have facilities in Singapore, manufacturing 4 of the top 10 drugs by global revenue.
